The Story
This new modern infill is located at 43 Holmwood in the Glebe (ottawa) responds to the dimensions of its irregular and narrow 20′x60′ lot by providing a solution to fit the owners’ pattern of working and living. A freestanding central staircase enables natural light to brighten the residence as well as allows for unique visual perspectives. It promotes ventilation and allows the freshened air from the interior garden to circulate throughout. To supplement the limited space in the yard and promote outdoor living, a roof top patio / green roof were created. This high living space enables the client to take advantage of the great city views.
